Is it necessary to get an injection to lose weight in your program? I hate needles!!!

No. But it is highly recommended. The injections consist of B vitamins, amino acids (protein building blocks), choline and chromium. Collectively these substances give one a feeling of increased energy, promote fat utilization by the body, decrease appetite, relieve stress and of course aid in weight loss.

Are the appetite suppressants safe? Is this fen-fen?

The two appetite suppressants that are often (but not always) used in the program are safe and have been approved by the FDA for over 20 years. These medications are NOT phen-phen (phenfluramine) which were removed by the FDA due to serious heart and lung complications.

Does this mean I can never eat bread, cereal or popcorn again?

No. After you've reached your goal weight, you will begin to add more food to your diet and this will include many of the carbohydrates such as breads, cereals and other starches. Be mindful that you will consume these foods in moderation and occasionally in order to maintain your new goal weight.

Is rapid weight loss safe?

It is not unusual to lose a significant amount of weight during the first week of our program. Men typically lose 10lbs and women about 6 to 7 lbs. Thereafter, individuals usually lose 2 to 3 lbs weekly and sometimes more. This is a safe and effective way to lose weight and improve ones health.
